Free ebooks and audiobooks

More than 100,ooo ebooks and audiobooks are available free via Project Gutenberg, Librivox and iBiblio. These volunteer-driven organizations create recordings and text files of books for free download, in more than 30 languages. Some of the top downloads include President Obama's inauguration speech, Dracula and The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. These are great sites for finding recordings of classics assigned for school -- the books available for free are those that are no longer under copyright restrictions, which includes most classic works.
