Listen To a Good Book Over the Holidays!

Don’t have time to read? Let others read to you while you walk, run, drive, clean, and more! Adults, teens, and children can learn a new language, partake of college courses, and delight in a variety of “good books.” Listening to audiobooks is also an excellent way to maximize time spent traveling over the holidays. Some titles are particularly fun for family road trips!

Audiobooks are available at the Harker Height Public Library in a variety of formats. Our Library provides books on CD which can be played on computers, in cars, and in CD players. The Library also offers books on Play-a-way format. The Play-a-way is a self contained MP3 player that contains just one book. Patrons simply need to provide a battery and headphones. No other equipment is needed. Patrons owning their own MP3 players, iPods, and computers can download free audiobooks by using the Library’s netlibrary.net website.
